International Abuse Victims and Survivors Tribute and Virtual Concert

(New York, NY) SISFI will host its 3rd Annual International Abused Victims and Survivors Apprecilove Tribute Day on Friday, October 5th 2012. There is a wonderfully inspiring event line-up to bring love, peace, happiness, awareness, resources and support to people affected by abuse.

Hosted on SISFI Radio Channel from 11am to 2pm, the official ceremony begins at 11 and ends at 12:15; the Virtual Concert begins at 12:30 and ends at 2. The concert features performances from local and international artists doing tributes in songs and spoken word. “This online tribute highlights SISFI’s continued focus on global challenges faced by people of abuse and the need for the international audience to be a part of the event” states Mr. Brett A. Scudder, president and chairman of SISFI. “Last year, eight countries participated in the tribute. This year, we welcome and anticipate more.”

Artists will perform LIVE via phone from across the world, in the comfort of their personal environment; and they will be able to interact as if in-person. They will perform original content, consisting of special dedications and tributes to abuse victims and survivors. Artists are continuing to come forward to participate as we promote the day of tribute. Confirmed artists include:

  • Ms. EJ Serrano a.k.a. ErinYes, an award winning ASCAP musician, singer, songwriter, poet and SAG-AFTRA actor
  • Ms. Gayla James, international Gospel artist and community advocate
  • Mr. Mike Lyrik Barnes, international award winning singer, songwriter, and actor
  • Ms. NASSUNNI, a.k.a Not Your Ordinary Poet, a business woman, visual artist, designer, spoken word poet, and advocate against domestic violence
  • Ms. Cynthia Jowers, a.k.a. X Blu Rayne, an author, international poet, spoken word artist, host writer and motivational speaker
  • Ms. Najla R Muhammad-Jaaber, a.k.a., Najlavision, a spoken word artist, poet, educator, mentor and Founder of HALLA Inc., Helping Adolescents Lead Lives of Achievement
  • Mr. Lashawn Marston, a.k.a. Suga Ray, spoken word artist, activist, writer, philanthropist and President of The Good Foundation
